Gateway Office Park among the best in Europe

Gateway Office Park, developed by ABLON Group, received a “Very Good” rating under the rating system of British BREEAM In-Use

ABLON's project recieved the best rating so far

The most widespread and widely known international qualification system, the British BREEAM evaluates the sustainability of buildings and their environmental performance. BREEAM examined more than 1 million buildings and issued more than 200,000 ratings during its 22 years of operation.

Environmental consciousness is an important factor, not only in everyday life, but also when it comes to planning, construction and reconstruction of buildings. As a result, designers, developers and building managers put more and more emphasis not only on the design phase, but also on building management.

The BREEAM In-Use system was developed to rate already existing buildings. This rating system is suitable to provide complex assessment of buildings and portfolios, thereby providing an independent and professionally reliable picture of the environmental impacts of the developments under investigation.

GatewayOffice Park, opened in 2008, received “Very Good” ratings both for asset performance and building management performance. Besides several Hungarian projects, only a few Polish, Czech and Lithuanian buildings were granted BREEAM In-Use ratings in the region, but none of them received such a high rating so far. “This office building was built and is currently being managed by ABLON Group according to its own environmentally conscious standards, and for that reason, such a “VERY GOOD” rating is a great pleasure for the company, since this confirms that we are on the right path” - said Adrienn Lovro, CEO of Ablon Hungary.

Energy consciousness and an environmental friendly approach were major considerations during the design, construction and building management phases of Gateway Office Park and ABLON has successfully managed to implement these principles.  The responsible development approach applied by ABLON has now been awarded by this BREEAM In-Use rating. Real estate development, just like other industries, entered a new era. Environmental consciousness is now in the focus, guaranteeing long term sustainability. What is more, it became a crucial factor of competition due to cost saving considerations. Its considerable impact on business thinking is beyond dispute.
